We bought this item when our son was about a year and a half old and was not walking yet on his own. He has global developmental delays, we have yet to have a diagnosis and he is turning 3 years old next month. It was wonderful to help us in the process of working on his therapy. I highly recommend this, especially if you are working with a child who struggles to walk.I gave this four stars because as helpful as it was, I found my back hurting because my son would lean forward therby pulling at my back. I found that this wasn't as bad when I held on closer to where the straps actually met the chest covering.
