candles are brighter than some other battery candles but their light is a pale lemon yellow rather than orange and they don't flicker as much as a strobe - all 11 in sync no matter how I time each individual setting. One candle did not light up at all, even after standing on the charge for several hours after the rest were fully charged. Charging cable, remote control and timer work perfectly. The candle switch is either on or off. The timer and the brightness can be adjusted via the remote control. The instructions recommend not leaving it charged for more than 3 hours. The instructions don't indicate whether to turn it on or off while charging, so I charged it and everything worked fine. It took several hours to fully charge, which is typical for rechargeable candles. Due to the bad color and "flickering" I would have sent them back if I hadn't already written a big solid "O" in the "OFF" position of each switch to see it better.
