I have been treated for chronic back pain for more than 20 years. It's only been in the last 6 years that I've started getting massages. While these massages aren't overly expensive (when you look at it per session), it takes time and effort to get to and from the salon and feel the way I walked in. so not worth it. One day I was watching a program on TV and I saw someone sawing his back with a jigsaw. I was horrified. Then it turned out they were using a percussion massager. I immediately jumped on my phone and started searching for a percussion massager, what is it, what does it do, how does it help etc etc. So here is the Cliff Note version of what I found out. Shock therapy helps relieve stiffness and muscle soreness, which in turn helps loosen knots for improved circulation, resulting in improved range of motion and therefore faster recovery times. So I bought a percussion massager. I have to say this thing is LOUD! The good thing is that only 2-3 minutes per area is recommended and if you use it at home like I do you will need a partner (if you need to work on your back). It's been a while since I got my massager. I use it twice a day on an every other day schedule. Once before work to warm up muscles and prepare for 10-14 hours of computer sitting. And another session about an hour before I go to bed. It helps release tension from my body and sleep peacefully. Well... how do I feel? Great! I still have tension in my back, but now the tension is becoming less and less painful. Great product and held up my "rock hard" knots! The price isn't exactly cheap, but if you look at it that way it is. My sessions at the massage parlor are $80 each. About 3 sessions have already been paid for my massage device, which I can use without restrictions. Full recommendation!
