Great value for more RAM

I have a 10 year old desktop PC that I originally built for gaming, 3D CAD modeling and photo editing. The PC features a first generation i7 930 processor using DDR3 memory in a typical channel configuration. Although the processor is legacy technology by today's standards, it is still capable of handling any task with ease. I had a problem because the software uses a lot more memory than 10 years ago and I kept running out of available memory. I installed three of these 4GB RAM sticks to replace the three 2GB sticks I had in my system. Doubled my RAM from 6GB to 12GB. Prior to this update, running Lightroom or Photoshop limited my available memory, and I also had issues with web browsers and Windows using more than 5GB of memory. As a result, I experienced a lot of slowdowns, especially when switching between programs. After upping my RAM to 12GB, my computer is back to being as fast as ever. The CPU is still old and outdated, but the RAM acted as a bottleneck. The comments above apply to all RAM upgrades when memory is the bottleneck of the system. This particular set of Yongxinsheng RAM works without any problems. The memory cards are inexpensive (about half of what other DDR3 memory cards are selling at the time of this review). I had no trouble loading them onto my system. The RAM timings are a bit slower than my older gaming RAM modules (CL11 vs. CL9 in older RAM modules) but not enough to notice performance drops in real world and even in games. I would recommend them to anyone looking for cheap DDR3 RAM sticks.
