USE: I connect my RV to a router about 100 meters from the building. I use an external Cat6 cable in an underground conduit that goes to an external box with an ethernet connector. I then have a 50 Cat6 patch cord from this external ethernet box in the RV to the network switch in the RV. I could not use the WiFi connection because there is a mobile home between the structure where the router is located (I tried first). PROBLEM: I had an intermittent intermittent Internet connection on Category 6 cable in an underground conduit. The connection on the switch suddenly stopped working, but it still worked on the computer or my Wi-Fi antenna. MY THEORY: The Cat6 cable being run between the remote structure and the router is too far away for a stable connection. SOLUTION: This product seems to have solved my problem. I have a network on the receiver side and everything is working fine so far. The speed is slightly slower than the original connection when connected directly to my computer. I use the asymmetric option. I'll update this review if anything goes wrong, but I believe this is a permanent fix. I'm glad I found this product and glad it works well and is easy to set up.
