Doesn't work on 2014 Dodge Ram 2500

The locksmith checked the remote before attempting to program it. Buttons and transponders well tested. The locksmith programmed this into the truck and the buttons worked, but the truck wouldn't start. I bought a Dodge remote from a dealer and it programmed and worked right away. I sent this defective remote back and asked for a replacement. Instead of replacing the remote they gave me a refund which is $10.86 less than what I paid for.
