A few years ago I bought some Air-O-Swiss humidifiers based on good reviews. For the first year I was quite happy and thought it was money well spent. I took care of it properly and even used distilled water with every use. It later turned out that the expensive silver staff was no longer used. I continued to use the old one for the next 2 years. I was about to buy other moisturizers before I found out that these Hyrdo Cells could replace the silver pen. Now, a year before I used them, I didn't use anything. I still used distilled water. There was a "funny" smell when I did it. It wasn't strong, but I could feel it. This year I bought these and immediately noticed that the smell was gone. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and it's like new.
