Review on 🎙️ Shure WL185 Wireless Cardioid Condenser Lavalier Microphone with TA4F/TQG Connector - Black by Chris Sanders

I've been using this mic all summer as a traveling speaker/teacher and love it. The Shure mic that came with my setup was fine, but I had issues with an uneven pickup when I turned my head to the side (dropouts) or looked at my sheet music (too loud and distorted). This is such an improvement! I've found that placing it in the center of my shirt (okay, I'm a woman and I don't wear a tie!) is almost perfect. As long as I don't rotate my head more than 45 degrees, no prolapse occurs. And looking at my notes doesn't cause distortion. I've also found that it's actually softer when I move it a little to the side and closer to the neck (e.g. on the lapel of a jacket) than when it's front and center. It was that I can precisely control the volume without having to adjust the gain. Please note that I always use a manufacturer recommended foam sleeve. All in all, the investment was worth it.
