Bought a large Ferplast cage for my budgies. They love it and so do I. It's much easier to clean than your previous cage. But it doesn't contain all the little feathers excited by their flight and flapping wings. I line the bottom of their cage with sheets of paper or paper towels and they move around to make things look messy. I thought I'd try something different for her cage and saw that it was recommended on a bird-focused website. I just put it in yesterday so can't comment on absorbency, cleaning etc. yet. Very active and will fly around the cage, their fluttering doesn't disturb this material and I don't see the tiny feathers and seed coats fluttering and exiting the cage. So I'm excited! The bottom of the cage looks just as good as yesterday when I put this substrate in; it is heavy enough not to fly when the birds flap their wings. I was pleased to see that it was white; I can try that next time. But that's not long as I only used a small portion of what was in the pack.
