I purchased this item new from Revain in June 2016. I've used it probably 12-15 times in the last year and 4 months. I turned it on yesterday to check the voltage on the thermostat and the LCD was very dim unless I looked at it from an extreme angle. I thought, it's okay, it must be the batteries. Unfortunately, this also happens with new batteries. I called Innova and spoke to their tech support. They said it looks like a faulty screen and the repair fee is $89.99. I paid less than for a new block. I asked if they could fix it at their own expense and they said the warranty was expired (1 year) which I expected. I asked if this was a known issue and the tech said no. I'm not the type of person who buys products that break closer to the end of the warranty. I give Innova full marks if I at least have a phone number and answer the call (I was on hold for less than 5 minutes). However, as this is the only time I have bought from this company, this is the only experience I have to decide if I will do business with them again. The technician offered to buy another one. I'm considering trying another brand. My $19 Radio Shack multimeter still works after 15 years, so I guess I could use it.
