I really wanted this corner shelf/perch but unfortunately the shelf slides off the rails and is VERY easy to fall off and I was concerned for my bird's safety. Also, the washers that came with them were very small, but easily replaced. If this unit had some sort of locking mechanism to hold the shelf in place, such as B. A folding panel on each edge to prevent the shelf from sliding forward into the rails would be ideal. I've been thinking about changing mine but I don't have the time or the tools. This shelf is a great idea and it was well made but it's not safe so unfortunately I sent it back.
