Biggest waste of money in my life. I wish I had my money back but there was no way of knowing how awful they were without using a few of them. So. The reason they have those little screws is because they only last about 1-3 seconds. Small screws are not suitable for parts where the couch is directly above the structure as they need to be screwed into deep soft parts. So they just hang in the corners which my cat likes to play and chew with. Also, they are quite small (I bought a larger size) so the cat only scratches next to or above them. It's totally useless.
