I always carry a pocket watch with me. I don't like wristwatches. It's just the right size, with a large, easy-to-read analog font and Arabic numerals. I like to "hunt" pocket watches with cases, but it's more convenient. Plastic lids are scratch-resistant these days. In any case, I regularly break watches and other small gadgets by throwing them in the laundry, dropping them, poking around, and so on. So I don't want to spend too much on them. The cheap ones are too big and don't look good. This one is spot on. I just broke it by clumsily changing the battery myself a few times. As a result, the battery was secured with tape. So I got a replacement watch. I really need the jeweler to change the battery, but I can't resist messing with the gears.
