I chose this basket for my wife who is always looking for ways to organize and store things. I think she could work as a clothes hamper if she wasn't using it to store things. So far this has worked well. This is a wicker basket made from cotton ropes that are rolled and sewn into the shape of a basket. The basket is roomy, big enough for a queen-size comforter and slightly more room when folded neatly. Because it's a cloth-based bin, it's flexible and can be squeezed into tighter spaces than a bin or box, making it easy to move out of the way. I love that the handles are actually woven right into the design. If the basket is not damaged, the handles should hold and not snap. Since they are not something that sticks, they are also not something that can be loosened or loosened. I offer a caveat. If you have cats, they will reach for this basket. Within 5 minutes of finding this basket, our cat decided it was her basket, not for playing but for sharpening her claws. We had to take her to an inaccessible place in the house where she doesn't go, lest she tear that basket. This is a very good basket that will serve you well. It looks good, seems well made and is more versatile than a similar sized plastic bucket.
