Review on πŸ”§ AM4 Retention Bracket & AM4 Back Plate for Heat Sink Cooling Fan Mounting - PartsCollection by Saradhi Suter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bends under pressure but doesn't break. A WHILE.

So I was debating whether to give this device 3 or 4 stars. Here's why. It's plastic, I can't deny the fact that it's plastic because I knew I was buying plastic. As an aside I bought it because I had an "open box" motherboard that had the original metal stripped out of it and the plastic replacement was bent when I screwed on the Wraith cooler. (I also saw this in another person's comment). For example, it's almost scary how much it bends after tightening. Metal with holes going more through the board so the fan screws shouldn't quite reach. but when you tighten it, it doesn't bend. but it's still metal. With the fact that it's plastic it's just scary knowing it will bend like that and you're afraid it will break. I refused to tighten the bolts simply because I was very afraid they would break. Included. It's wearable. It holds the fan. So I only gave 1 star for flexibility/durability/ease of installation. Because although the screw holes don't come out that far, so you have to press harder to get the screws in, it's not much harder, just a little. and yes it is bent but not broken yet. sooo 4 stars it is.
