My senior wanted another guinea pig. It's been a few years since we last owned it, but we kept all the stock. There was a big problem: after examining guinea pigs, my daughter informed me that our old cage was too small. For her birthday, she requested these wire storage cubes to build an aviary for her future guinea pig. She picked it up with no problems. She didn't use zip ties like some of the others but said she could get them to make them more durable. She wrapped the body in corrugated plastic she bought at a local hardware store. After scoring it, she bent the tin into a box. Then she covered the whole aviary with fleece. When everything was ready, we went to the pet store and got a two-year-old male guinea pig. For a week he has been happily tinkering with his house. What makes this aviary so great is not only the ease of assembly, but also the fact that it can be expanded. There was some chicken wire left and she could have made the railing bigger, but then she would have needed a larger piece of plastic to line it up. Maybe she'll add something in the future or wonder if the guinea pig is kind enough to get another one. Then we buy another set of supply cubes to make the aviary at least twice as big. I know this is an unconventional review of these storage cubes, but it really turned out to be an amazing habitat for your guinea pig and I wanted to share it.
