I don't like the deceptive picture and quality and this purchase makes me angry I bought these. I bought Hanes for my 20 year old kids and they lost my business forever. I will never buy Hanes again. I have a smaller 17 year old who wears size 8.5 shoes. Men's socks are too big for him and most are one size 6-12 (sock size 10-13). Come on, the sizes 6-12 or 10-13 have a ridiculous and unrealistic range. Any sock that fits in a size 12 shoe leaves the heel high at the back of the ankle for a size 6 to 9 shoe. So . We buy him socks for big boys. It's hard to find the ones who look cool, so he's not ashamed in a dressing room full of guys a lot taller than him and in the latest and greatest men's athletic socks. We're looking for sports socks that don't look childish. Those stripes made it look a little cooler. It was important! I thought I would buy 12 pairs of striped athletic socks for ALL. Only FOUR out of twelve did! The rest are the usual hanes he wore as a kid, plain white with gray bottoms. They didn't cost them more to make, but they charged extra by claiming "Sports Collection" and only four of them are sporty. Even if you get very, very close to the picture above, you would still expect half the socks to have stripes, since there are definitely 3 striped pairs; I thought everyone was like this, but if I look closely I think that between the stripes is a plain white color. But if you show 6 socks and 3 of them have the stripes clearly showing, then a six pack should have 3, a 6 pack would only have TWO. DON'T CALL YOUR TRADITIONAL WHITE SOCKS WITH GRAY SOCKS "SPORTS COLLECTION". It's ok if the bottom is thicker and you want to claim "comfort", but you didn't offer ALL sports socks! And it was still packaged by the manufacturer with short clothing tags through them all and through a cardboard lid like in stores, not loosely folded into a bag. So Hanes KNEW they were cheating us by only giving us 2 gym socks in each pack of six. And I thought I was paying for 12! What about quality? They're no better than all the typical, normal Hanes that came before them. The same cheap quality thread that quickly becomes coarse, thin and stiff after a few washes and let the ankle strap dry, stretch and tear. Comfort blend socks? You are not. Bottom is a bit thicker as always so it's ok if it's "comfortable" but I need the WHOLE SOCK to be comfortable. The socks on all whites have a rougher/cheaper feel, and the uppers on all (striped and white) are thin and feel cheaper, as is always the case with gray soles. This. Are. no Athletic Socks Hanes, you need to rethink what honesty in performance means. If you mainly sell white socks, you shouldn't ask for more and call it a SPORTS COLLECTION! I was looking for a large pack of socks that are actually much softer than your normal ones that stay that way and keep their shape and was willing to pay a higher price for it. because I also thought they were ALL with "sporty" stripes. . They tricked us into making more money at no additional cost to you. All the packaging is now open, socks removed, so sending it back to the next customer isn't cool.
