Review on 🚲 Garmin Edge 510 GPS Bike Computer Review: Discontinued but Reliable! by Timothy Weems

Revainrating 5 out of 5

After checking the Bluetooth cadence sensor and heart rate up to .

After thinking about connecting a Bluetooth cadence and heart rate sensor to my phone, I decided to get a dedicated device. However, I did encounter a few minor hiccups during installation and setup: 1. I had to apply a large dab of epoxy putty to the pedal shaft to install the cadence magnet - with a bunch of other hardware I was expecting a gasket or something to come with the kit . 2. It was VERY difficult to connect the speed/cadence sensor to the GPS device. I had to search the web for troubleshooting FAQs to figure out how to get it working as the device couldn't see the sensor. I ended up having to turn GPS Bluetooth off and make sure my heart rate bracelet was paired first. You need to make sure the sensor is reading something to pair properly. So I swung a small magnet in front of the cadence and speed parts and they finally snapped together properly.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Blunt hardware
