Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Melissa & Doug Suspend Family Game by Mark Meyer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Surprise for adults!

I'm hosting a little adult game night at the local theater. I bought Suspend last Christmas and almost a year later no one has played it. (Honestly, we have dozens of games to choose from.) A few weeks ago, I thought about dropping it from the group of games I carry back and forth every night we play because the cylindrical shape doesn't pack . easy. I decided to take the already packed game box for the last game night in November, then select the new games and repack without suspend. While one person was waiting for the game to join, he pulled out Suspend and started setting up the living room table just to see how the game looked. The card game was over and these players wandered into the room where Suspension was and it was decided that they would all try to play an audition of it. Over the next few hours and forty-five minutes, the break players had several turbulent rounds. The games were on and by the end of the night everyone else had gathered and the room was filled with enough applause and banter to rival a football game! It was so much fun that several people immediately pulled out their phones to add the suspension to their shopping cart. We spent most of the night playing the main games outlined in the rules, but we had a few other game ideas to try others. night, including turning it into a drinking game, as well as combining multiple sets and base points. One of the things that added to the enjoyment of the game was that it was placed on a low table that players could easily move around. It was an unexpected hit with adults, who compared it to the modern look of Wands vs. Jenga. the game. I REALLY think this can be very challenging for younger kids, although I was a pre-STEM kid myself and probably loved that along with the chemistry and robotics kits I had in 2nd-4th grade would have. I may not have been able to play it as a child or with my child growing up, but the adults who have played this game made my purchase worthwhile!
