What I liked about the speakers is nothing. What I want is some bass. Once I hooked up the speakers and turned on the amp, I had to max out the bass to hear anything. I was shocked at the bad sound. I did a test and found the speakers wouldn't work much below 180Hz. The midrange was ok, but from about 3kHz it sounded terrible. I've heard cheap $40 bookshelf speakers sound a lot better. I tried to find the frequency response characteristics but Bose doesn't publish them, now I know why.
