Just like my grandma's

Well I've had this appliance for over a year now and it's very loved and well used. I use the waffle side rather than the skillet because that's what I bought it for. Cooks evenly, no hot spots (which is amazing), obviously protects your hands, and doesn't touch the metal while it's on or has been on recently. It looks dated, it's not plastic, it's metal. Don't forget this or you'll get burned and blame the machine for being unfair to the machine. waffle maker. I am a lover of kitchen gadgets. I know I can do most things without them, but why when there's a gizmo and gadget for that? Although I bought this because I wanted something other than Belgian waffles, I remembered my grandma having a waffle maker that looked dead on this one, although I can't recall if its plates were removable. My grandma died a few years ago. and I asked my sisters to see if anyone remembered this brand. No one was sure but my older sister told me she thought it was a black and white model so I went with Revain. Found this beauty and bought it immediately. Second, it was delivered, I cleaned it and it was ready to go (those delivery notifications are amazing. When I knew it was ready for delivery, I timed it with my usual shipping route and I had the ingredients for the dough ready to go Take away) I would caution you to be careful with the fat you use and have something to catch if it gets too hot and slips off the plates. You are using the right amount of iron fat. I just put it on part of the counter. I can brush between batches very easily and I'm done with that. Both my sisters long for this bad boy, but they are on their own. I live a few thousand miles from here, so all you have to do is get your own. You asked that last weekend and I thought it was time to check out that bad boy. In fact, if I remember correctly, I paid a little more for it than the current price, but to be honest I would do it again and again and for more. It's hard to find good waffle makers, especially non-Belgian waffle makers. Don't get me wrong, I ALSO have a Belgian waffle maker, but this is the one that has popped up on my counter every few weekends.

Pros
  • heating controller; Wipe clean non stick hobs
Cons
  • boring packaging
