This item lasted approximately 11 minutes before being repackaged for return. After reading many reviews I was hesitant about this product. I was looking for a replacement for my 20 year old clock radio and this seemed like the perfect upgrade. The time is set automatically, so if you turn off the device, the clock will reset when you turn it on again. And there is a weekday/weekend option - perfect for us MF staff. Good big numbers with the ability to dim or brighten. And no thin wire that would serve as an antenna. Perfect right? What more do you want? I can only imagine the table discussions at Emerson where the designers and marketing team decided to automatically increase the alarm volume to 8 out of 10 without the user being able to change it. It will wake people up! I see visions of people high fives across the table. Success! Holy Grail. Every customer has been asking for this for years and now we're giving it to them. no This can without a doubt be the worst design idea ever. Is always. Future marketing and engineering courses should use this product as the "do's and don'ts." If I wanted a radio to play music at 6:00 am I would buy it. But I want a clock radio that plays a radio station at the desired volume. The sound is also very bad. My 20 year old clock radio has a better sound. This item was back in the box and ready for return before the courier arrived in time for lunch. Disappointing.
