Review on πŸ’» Honey and Black Computer Unit with Ample Storage and Mobility Casters by Ashley Andrews

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Unusually good quality

As mentioned in most reviews this is a very durable product. Another review states that the 3 shelves are made of wood. You are not. it appears to be a composite material with a laminated surface. It looks nice, but it's not a real tree. Another reviewer suggested just finger-tightening all the screws until assembly is complete, and then going back and tightening. I followed that - great suggestion. It is possible to lock the wheels, but I didn't do this and didn't find a need. Mine sits on carpet and won't move unless you apply some force and move it on purpose. I love that it has wheels and is easy to move. Great when I need to reconfigure something, clean up afterwards, etc. I used splitters and zip ties to attach them to the back of the bottom support bar. I plug everything in and then just plug the extensions into the wall. Makes the device portable. I use a laptop and it easily fits (only when closed) on a shelf under the keyboard. I attached the speakers to the vertical bars just above the main shelf. It's a well-designed device that uses space efficiently and holds plenty of items. It took some time to assemble and was a bit clunky at times. It was difficult to align the 4 screws for the main shelf. Compared to other furniture I bought online, the quality is much better. The screws are well threaded and the holes match up well. I would advise you to buy hex bits for installation. MUCH easier to assemble than using the flimsy hex key that comes with the unit: faster and avoid the pain in your fingers that you get with this hex key. I used a hex wrench on a ratchet wrench. This saved a lot of time and made the build tighter (don't over-tighten the ratchet - I keep it very close to the tip to avoid excessive torque on the wrench).

Pros
  • Materials: metal, PVC and MDF veneer
Cons
  • Protection
