Review on Haier ESAQ406T 22-inch Window Air Conditioner Serenity Series with 6,000 BTU 115V W/ LED remote control in White by Erika Martinez

Was hoping it would be quiet but when I installed it and turned on cool mode I heard a loud crunch. Only when starting the cooling system. I don't know if I received a new device or someone else's returned device because the seller is not responding. Now I have to take this heavy 70lb item to UPS to ship it back or pay UPS to get some extra money. Be very careful who you buy. UPDATE July 8th - I have purchased another unit which is in a different listing as ESAQ406TZ but this listing for ESAQ406T is actually the same as my failed unit was also an ESAQ406TZ model. I'm pretty sure my returned noisy device was a returned or defective third party lot. I studied it, and at some point Haier indicated that this model was discontinued. Seems they are having production issues with some faulty and noisy compressors. It is again listed as available and obsolete on the Haier website. If you receive the device from a third party, ENSURE it is in a SEALED BOX with metal clips, NOT OPENED. I had the metal clips, but the box was open, just clear tape at the top and two plastic wires wrapped around it. Defective products should not bear any restocking fee or return shipping fee. I paid nothing and the 3rd party seller even refunded the UPS postage fee as I am unable to ship the £70 item to the UPS shop. The article ESAQ406TZ can be found in a separate offer. I bought this as a seller on Revain as I can't risk receiving an item from liquidation lots that third party vendors have. The great thing about buying Revain even on the market is that if the seller sells defective items and tries to charge a restocking fee etc, just file an A to Z claim as you don't have to pay for defective lots. Check the box you receive carefully to ensure it is closed with metal clasps, otherwise the returned item is likely defective. My purchased Revain unit is ULTRA QUIET. No grinding, no buzzing, nothing. It should be so. Make no mistake, this is a great sleep conditioner. Noise of 43dB versus 50-55dB for standard AC is a big difference as the scale is logarithmic rather than linear. Every 3dB is half the noise level!
