These covers fit so well, you wouldn't even know they were covers. My toddler's grubby little hands were really starting to destroy the fabric on our dining room chairs, so before they were completely destroyed we wanted to cover them with something, but didn't want to sit on those annoying plastic covers you sat on at grandma's house back in the day. They were somewhat easy to install. it did require unscrewing the seat bottom from the chair, wrapping it in the cover and then screwing it back on. My only concern is that to wash them/take them off, I have to unscrew the seat from the chair. which overtime will likely become an inconvenience and may wear our the screw holes in the seat bottom.
