I bought this for car camping because I don't like using a camping knife for cooking. So yes. That's not very flattering to me. But I'll ignore the haters and say this is a good chef's knife. It's "sharp enough" out of the blister pack and comes with a good quality sheath to prevent accidentally piercing my gear or myself. Green with black contrast is high enough that I can see it in less than ideal lighting or on the ground. It is not expensive. It is expedient. Very good for the price and very suitable for my purposes. I like it.
