Great game for large groups

This game is interesting to play with a large group. I often hear comparisons to the mafia. The larger the group, the more confusing and exciting the game becomes. Each player is assigned a role. They are either the good guys or the bad guys or the apostate. No one tells anyone what their role is except the sheriff. The sheriff shows everyone their card. This is where the madness begins. The bad guys try to kill the sheriff, the good guys try to kill the bad guys, and the renegade adds to the confusion by playing either side or trying to even the fight. The addons are decent and allow more people to play. . The base game can have up to 7 players, but the expansion becomes 8. They add more cards and a bit more strategy to the game. That being said, I think you'll be perfectly satisfied with the base game. Finding people who understand the rules enough to play the base game alone is hard enough, finding 8 people who understand the rules well enough to add a supplement or two can be difficult. Speaking of rules, they're crazy. The game was originally in Italian and the English translation was a bit clumsy. In every second game, a rule question arises that is not described in the instructions. Luckily there is a good community on the internet and I have found that whenever I have a question I can just google it and get the answer. There is a great deal of strategy involved in the game, and there are particularly many instances where a good player can use the rules to his advantage. Overall this game is amazing and great for any group of people (5+ players). Up to 5 people can get a bit boring because it only takes one round to figure out who's who. My only criticism of the game is that when you're dead, you're dead. I killed people in the first round and after that the game went on for 45 minutes. It can get a bit boring for players who die early. This has been fixed in "Samurai Sword", which is essentially a Bang! but with a Japanese samurai theme.
