Review on Bi-Directional Optical to Coaxial and Coaxial to Optical SPDIF Toslink Digital Audio Converter Splitter Adapter by Tendak by Walter Martin

I bought this because my mixer didn't have enough optical SPDIF inputs. There were several converters available but I chose the Tendak unit as there was no power LED visible in the photos. However, when I received the device I was disappointed to find a very bright LED sticking out over the power connector. And this LED is very, very bright. Fortunately, the build quality of the device is very good. The painted metal case is easy to open (just two screws) and the LED is easy to bend away from the mounting hole and seal the hole with tape. The device is powered via a USB-A to Micro-USB-B cable (included) so I can use a computer or an AC adapter to power it. The sound quality is very good. I haven't heard any difference between using optical cable or converting optical cable to coax. They both sounded the same, just like they should. In addition, I did not notice any delays in the signal conversion. If there is a delay, it's probably under 2ms, which is perfect for my needs.
