Review on Reusable BPA-Free Sous Vide Bags For Any Machine - 20 Quart And Gallon Sizes For Joule And Anova Cookers - Food Storage And Freezer Safe Vacuum Sealer Bags From OUII by Lucas Hale

Good reusable bags - my new review

The bags themselves seem to be good for sous vide. I received them around a week ago and promptly cooked some Filet Mignon using them (salt, pepper, and meat only). The bags held vacuum the entire time, however using the pump provided proved to be a bit difficult. I found it took many trials to finally get a good seal between the pump and the bag to finally get the air pulled out. I ended up using the water submersion to remove most of the air and then using the pump to finish it off. The pump does seem to be fairly cheaply made. However, I gave four stars because the price is so cheap for everything you get, I could not expect to get a high quality pump with all those bags as well. I did wash the bags with hot soapy water and let air dry inside out. I have no real negative feedback other then the pump issues I noted above.

Pros
  • Specialty Appliances
Cons
  • The bags may not be as convenient as disposable options
