If you've used silicone cookware in your cooking, you know what a wonderful material it is: flexible, durable and able to withstand extreme temperatures. You are simply phenomenal! BENEFITS: * soft and flexible - won't crack, warp, discolor or break like other materials * raised mesh and edges - condensation collects on the stand and stays there, away from your drink. * water-repellent - condensation does not absorb into the material, so design and materials are not affected. * BEAUTIFUL DESIGN IN BRIGHT COLORS! CONS: * NO, except I would have more design and color options. We had 2 sets of stone coasters - they are cracks and water stains. Cardboard and/or cork with a laminated pattern will disintegrate and the pattern will peel off. Everything is fine with the tree until the coating wears off and the tree starts to deform. I assume the skin collects watermarks. A word of caution about silicone - if using it for drink coasters, avoid those with an open design. Without a solid floor, condensation will collect on the worktop.
