I used to have a corded Hamilton Beach blender and it was definitely a great blender BUT I was always annoyed that the cord was stiff and constantly getting in the way. I bought a small USB rechargeable (wireless) mixer but it didn't have enough torque to handle heavy mixes and it burned out after 3 months. Then I bought a Cuisinart mains blender, but even with a swivel cord that's not an option either. Also, when I turned it on, the motor accelerated momentarily before returning to my chosen speed. This will cause the ingredients to squirt out of the mixing bowl. This blender is GREAT! This is a high performance cordless machine with a high torque motor that charges in 30 minutes (NOT USB) and has an ideal slow start motor that avoids unnecessary splashing. And he sits on the counter when unattended, very nice. I bake for my kids regularly and this is a great tool. I've had mine for 6 months now and not a single problem. If I had a suggestion for the maker it would be to make a whisk and make the whisks about 1 inch longer, but it's still perfect the way it is.
