My APBT, Loki, loves this food. He loves it so much, I use it as dog treats too, lol. He has fattened up nicely and now I'm going to start running with him and building muscle. He is very high energy and this food gives him what he needs to keep at his antics.Last year, I almost lost him because he ate some pecan shells in the yard and they're toxic to dogs. He was skin and bones and had severe diarrhea and vomiting. He literally had maybe a day or two left. He couldn't keep anything down and eventually got to the point where he stopped eating. I got his food and mushed it up with a lot of water and force fed. This food along helped him pull through while the toxins slowly left his body and gave him just enough energy to escape death. Eventually he started eating more and within two weeks, he looked better than before he ate the pecan shells! His coat is shiny and he doesn't suffer from skin irritations anymore.He's not one yo yet, so I free feed and give plenty of water. I wouldn't recommend this unless your dog has a ton of energy or is an older dog, bc they will put on weight quickly.
