Not soft and silky at all. Definitely not satin.

The feeling is similar to a coarse pillowcase, which somewhat defeats the purpose of a sleepyhead. I bought them because what I usually buy is out of stock for a long time. If all you need for sleeping is a bonnet and not a silk bonnet, this one is for you.
