I've been using this for 5 months now on a Dell 5830 and initially it worked as it should. However, the monitor connected to the adapter flickers on and off annoyingly for 3-5 seconds over time. At first I was able to unplug and plug the key back in without any further issues. However, over time it will continue to degrade and become unusable, turning on and off every 1-2 minutes. The button itself is very hot to the touch, which can affect its correct functioning. I have other StarTech products that I have purchased over time that I have been happy with, but I definitely do not recommend this adapter.
