The package in which I received this was labeled "L” for large, but to me, it runs smaller. I usually wear a medium in sized knee braces and also a medium in compression hose. However, this Knee Brace Compression Sleeve seems to fit fine and feel good in the area of my painful knee, but above my knee, it is way too tight. It may be because it comes up higher above the knee than my other braces. It’s a shame because I really like the style and until I started to feel the restriction above the knee, it seemed perfect. I was so happy there for a moment because I walk miles every day and it is getting harder and harder. If you can get by with a smaller size, it might work very well for you. For reference, my calf measures 16 inches and a few inches above the knee, I measure about 18 inches.
