As for the device, it's pretty slick, light and fast, but only after you set it up to work with your operating system. It comes pre-formatted in Fat32 for Windows. If you want it to work with OSX, you'll need to install the WD Disc utility, either from their website or from the disc itself. The WD Disc utility was the only way to reformat the drive to HTFS, after that the Mac was able to OSX -Disk Utility reformat and encrypt it. The experience was far from smooth as WD Disk Utility kept crashing until I restarted my computer and updated my system to the latest updates. All in all, it took me about an hour to figure out how to format this on Mac. I'll write about reliability later.
