This item was purchased because of a very good promotion but as usual advertising can often support or disguise a product beyond its capabilities which is something you should be aware of. However this is a great product that works but for some reason my MS Surface Pro-6 gets very hot when using this device. Also, I can't use it when using the case I bought for the Pro-6. The lid is a functional lid with cut outs for all ports to go through, however this device does not close completely and is therefore best used with a bare Surface Pro 6. This is inconvenient as the only reason for the cover is to provide 24/7 protection for the Pro-6. Now you will be the judge. So buyers beware.
