I ordered this little fan to give me a gentle breeze and quiet background noise while I sleep. My area gets a bit noisy at times, and this fan delivers just the right amount of smooth sound I need to drown out the little noises that happen around the house at night. The motor is well balanced and very quiet but generates enough airflow to create a gentle ssst that helps me relax. Also, I sleep pretty warm and my wife sleeps pretty cold, so she doesn't want a big fan to freeze her all night. This fan is on my side of the room and only blows for me, so we're both happy. It comes with small rubber feet that slide on easily and prevent any buzzing or vibration. The speed is great and the on/off button is small but feels solid. When the fan blades get dusty (and they get dusty in my area - it's pretty dusty here), it's very easy to unscrew the cover and wipe it down with a damp cloth. The blades are metal but thin to increase fan efficiency and not put too much stress on the motor mounts. Be careful cleaning (as directed in the instructions) and they will last forever. The cable is good, and since it's USB, this fan plugs into almost any port you can find. I just plugged it into an old wall wart that has no power issues. I'm also pleased that this fan uses far less power than a 120 volt desktop fan, while being smaller and quieter. I plan to use it when traveling so I can take the gentle breeze and sound with me and get a good night's sleep even on vacation. It packs easily and the fan case is strong enough to prevent damage to the blades. This is by far my favorite little USB fan. I'm glad I bought it and I would do it again.
