Flameless candles add a really nice ambience to a room without the fire hazard and inconvenience of lighting a conventional candle every time. The built in timer will turn it on at the same time every day without you having to think about it. You can also just manually turn it on and off using the switch on the bottom or with the remote control — which gives you more options for runtime. My wife isn’t usually one to get pulled in by every bauble on the market, but we have six Luminara candles and three Univela knockoffs in our home. The dancing fake flame does a pretty good job of replicating the effect of a real one, especially if you’re only looking at it from a distance. And through this experience I’ve come to appreciate how effective use of lighting can improve the feel of a room.These candles are not cheap, and I would suggest you take a look at my Univela candle review if you’re in search of a cheaper alternative. That’s the candle with the fairy lights wrapped around it in the enclosed video. But, if there’s room in your budget for Luminara, then - for as much as I cringe at the price tag - there’s really no doubt that they’re the superior product.
