The frame seems pretty strong. I unwrapped it from the shrink wrap and spent a heck of a lot of time polishing the shrink wrap that had the pattern engraved on the frame itself. With some elbow grease and a microfiber cloth I was able to buff it to a nice shine in about 10 minutes. Be sure to use latex gloves as it is a fingerprint magnet. The edges are not precisely serrated, but are sharp enough to potentially scratch your vehicle. Be sure to use spacers or something other than buffers. I had some flexible pads on my car doors that I trimmed and crimped around the trailing edge and will also be using washers to install when my panels arrive. Pros: Inexpensive shiny (not chrome, more grey/pewter colored) tabs to hold the underside of the plate. Cons: Had to polish the shrink wrap. fingerprints! The edges will scratch your car if you don't provide gaskets or seals.
