I ordered a brand new beautiful plastic mailbox for my new home. It has a smoothed area for digits only, so I did the minimum number of searches and was happy with the description of those digits. Unfortunately, they don't fit very well in my plastic mailbox. I'm sure they work well on smooth metal, but since my mailbox is made of slippery plastic, they stick, but not well. A few weeks passed and some of my letters were lifted at the edges and one was almost halfway lifted. I found I was in trouble as soon as I tried to put the letters on and I could move them. And before I finish I want to say that I tried to prep the surface by first cleaning and wiping with alcohol wipes. I want the numbers and letters to be equidistant from each other. Slicing required some precision and careful avoidance of clipping adjacent numbers.
