The decoration was great but spilled on the box outside ruined my dining table!

The decoration was fine here too. When I received the package, I opened the box to check the decoration. Then I left it on my dining table for a few days. There must have been some mineral spirits, kerosene or something else on the outer packaging. It started smelling. When I checked it had eaten through the entire surface (about 3-4 inches) on my dining table. To fix the problem, the table needs to be completely recreated. DISSATISFIED!
