I tried a few other LEDs and was less than impressed so ended up with the original 1157. But then I stumbled across this one and wow! I love it! I would recommend them to anyone who has an older car where the lenses may not be as clear as they used to be. look at the picture - these are brake lights - the old one is on the right, these are on the left. The difference is huge!

These things struck me as how well made they are compared to most other LED lights on the market. They were a lot brighter than the super bright LEDs I already have in the car and we plug them right into the factory headlight housing. The tint on my car is as dark as the black paint on it so you don't see any red in my lenses and it still shines so brightly. Would definitely recommend.

Had to modify them to fit my ports. One of the legs was too high and it didn't screw into the connector, it just stuck. I cut with a knife and now they work fine. It's a big upgrade from halogen, it's a really pure red now. Next to a halogen, the halogen looks orange. It's also a lot brighter so my daytime running lights look good too. I bought these to upgrade the lightbulbs in an old car. I tried installing them and found that they don't rotate when plugged into the outlet. After a little muscle, the lightbulb broke free from the lower metal half. Luckily I was able to glue them together and the lightbulb still works. Remember, you can't screw them in with the torque of a standard lightbulb. If the lightbulb doesn't spin, you must first try flipping it and then try again.
