Very nicely machined and sturdy banana plugs. I needed right angle to connect speakers to my receiver in a shallow entertainment center.Unfortunately the jacks are close together and the plugs barely fit.My receiver went into a fault mode the moment I turned up the volume.Turned out the "insulating” sleeve that screws on over the body is metal. There is a coating which scratches pretty easily causing tightly fitted jacks to short the amp outputs.I bought 3/8” heat shrink and used that to…

The plugs work prefect in every aspect except if they touch each other on the back of your receiver, they will cause it to short out. Since I already went through the trouble of installing them, I will not return them. I covered the plugs in tape. I cancelled my second order for the same plugs. I used them on my Onkyo HT-S3900 Surround system. I upgraded the speaker wire on the system to GearIT 10 gauge wire.

I bought these for my car stereo installation project because the larger inside diameter would fit heavy duty speaker wires. Well that part worked, but of course with larger wires inside the set screws will NOT seat fully. When that happens the outer barrel will NOT screw on. I had to cut off the rest of the set screws and file smooth to screw on that very pretty, poorly designed, ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE outer cover which I had to cover with heatshrink tubing anyway because my speaker terminals

These were well reviewed so I figured I'd give them a shot. However, the rubber sleeve is extremely difficult to remove and there is not much leeway in the actual wire connector to create a good connection. Only having one screw creates a weak connection.Unfortunately, I can't return them because one of the sleeves ripped trying to put it back on.I thought maybe I was missing something or doing something incorrectly, but no, these are just very poorly designed. Would not recommend.

Easy to use, 2 small screws secure the speaker wire. Me personally, I solder the wire tip and screw down on the hardened wire. I feel like its a more solid connection and these connectors are well built enough to screw down on the hard surface. Comes with a small screwdriver thats actually pretty heavy duty for a "disposable" tool. One connector screw was hard to turn and neither the screw or the screwdriver failed.

This is a great product with one exception, the outer housing should be made of non conducive material, every time they touch each other it shorts out and shuts my receiver down, I fixed this issue by adding red and black heat shrink to the housings.

A GREAT design. To use these with banana plugs you will need to remove the set screws with the included screwdriver. I have a ton of hi-fi equipment and am always swapping things out. If you buy high quality speaker cables with banana plugs on both ends these can be used to adapt them to the old American style spring clip terminals found on the back of a lot of stereo components and most speakers sold in the US from the 60s to the 90s (and later for cheaper speakers). Very nice plugs. They do, however, loosen themselves when force is applied to unplugging them form whatever apparatus they are plugged into, resulting in them needing to be tightened with your hand again. Not a deal breaker, but slightly annoying.
