Great product, well worth the extra money. I highly recommend removing the head to use this tool, it creates tons of metal shavings and even with lube on the threads I still had to tug at the mower head to clean up the mess.

This tool saves lives. I was almost ready to buy a new $200 lawn mower engine head because I twisted the spark plug hole. I decided to go online to see if it could be fixed and imagine my surprise when I found this nice tool kit. I fixed the hole and the mower runs like new. Good product.

This product was used on a 2003 Mini Cooper S which did not have the #2 plug. The parts included in the kit worked great, no tooling modifications were required to install and access the threads. The tool cuts clean and works as described. I had two (2) problems: 1) The punch setter tool used to complete the installation is not long enough to access my app without using additional tools. 2) It took me 6 days to receive the product.

Used on a 2002 Mini R50 with a head that appears to be molded from colored pencils. This set is very effective - no instructions. I followed them verbatim and couldn't get the insert to stay inside without unplugging it. I've tried everything. This kit helped me repair a Craftsman lawn mower I bought in 2013. I did a little research and linked to a YouTube video. The tap and reamer appear to be sturdy/good materials/craftsmanship. I recommend using some kind of cutting oil (type 3 in 1) and some patience when tapping on the cylinder head. Since the thread you are cutting is quite large, I would cut 3/4 to 1 threads at a time and reverse the tap to clear the shavings, re-oil the tap, replace and tap another 3/4 to 1 thread . . I…
