Don't Buy Trash - Controllers

I replaced the vtec solenoid due to a leaking gasket. I decided to replace the whole thing as I had already removed it. Immediately the check engine light came on with code P2647 on my reader. Clearly a defective item. Don't trust this product! Absolute rubbish. What a waste of time and money. I should have left the OEM there.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Available in Black only

Look at the switch's plastic clip!

Solid appearance; The gasket and filter appear to be of decent quality. The VVT switch on mine works, but the little plastic hook that the cord from my car goes into is oddly placed and won't hold my cord. I bought a separate switch elsewhere and everything seems to be going great! By the way, if you're looking for how to fix this bad boy, there's a YouTube guy named Scotty Killmore; His video was a HUGE help.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Without automatic controls

Hell the f NO for Engine Parts

This product had good reviews and bad reviews so I took a chance and thought I might be one of the lucky ones. 6 months later this thing failed. So I said no big deal I'll get another one under warranty. Well, when is S? ';;" Start of show. Your guarantee is not 2 day delivery. 8 days have passed and I still haven't received it. Who the hell can go 8 days without a car. Now I know. Don't buy one Auto parts apart from the brakes, the Revain has too long a warranty.

Save money - only 3 screws!

Good. This is my second. The first one from Ebay died after 20,000 km. Dealer wants $210 Honda part, $160+ online. Installation takes about 20 minutes (30 if using U-Tube video). Allow an hour for beginners! The second time it was all about three screws, less space but easily doable; the code worked immediately. Will update if there is a problem with it! Still a few hundred dollars minimum by doing it yourself. If it helps, click the button! EDIT: OVER 1.5 YEARS later and still valid.

This completely solved my problem with my 03 element

. I was having trouble with my 2003 Honda Element, the sight code came back as an oil pressure sensor, so I bought it at my local parts store for $74 after doing a bit of research. When I found this VTEC solenoid in the control valve assembly, I took the oil pressure sensor. installed the VTEC solenoid in the control valve assembly and have driven my element over 250 miles today and my element is running fine again. The YouTube video was very helpful in installing the VTEC solenoid valve…

ALL GARBAGE - Engine Parts

Listen to me. listen carefully Not necessary. not necessary! buy this part. This will create a problem for you. Go to Autozone and buy one for $130. The thing broke after 2 weeks and since it's been 31 days since I bought it I have to pay $130 to Autozone and lost my money here. The oil pressure check valve has already failed; it is part of this assembly. Replacing just the check valve is $70 at Autozone. I'm not waiting for my wife to stop working. PLEASE do yourself a favor and don't buy this

Fixed code P2647 for me

I have a 2006 Honda Accord that went into limp mode and was throwing code P2647. This usually happened after a night of sitting. First I tried replacing the gasket but that didn't change anything. So I decided to replace the whole unit instead of a sensor. I am writing this a week after installation. So far I haven't had any problems. The whole process took me about an hour. It's a bit frustrating because it's impossible to see what you're doing, but it can be done. Watch one of the many…
