We took the keys to the locksmith and.

We took the keys to a locksmith and they cost about $100 to program after installation. They don't guarantee they will work, I can buy a set of them and they are guaranteed to work. Their cost is only $120.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • no automatic

Good work! - Anti-theft device

Key received in two days. They are just as good as the original key. Took them to my local hardware store and they cut them out for free! How great it was! Came home and programmed the keys according to my owner's manual. It took less than three minutes. Tried both buttons, everything works. Paid $25 for two. They wanted $175.00 for one at the dealer!

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Not worth the headache.

The keys themselves look like native keys. A month after using it, the buttons stopped working when controlling the function. Don't put the key in your pocket as it randomly opens random doors. I would not recommend them. Too bad I had to pay $170 for these two to cut and program them just to do it all over again. Advice to stick with OEM Chrysler keys and save money and headaches.

but they both worked great for us

Sometimes fobs suck, but they both worked great for us. We only had one key so we had to take it to the dealer to have it cut and programmed but they made both keys for the same price. I did a test with a USB SDR (Software Defined Radio) before programming them and got a clear signal at about the same strength as the original fob. Very happy with this purchase. Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Perfectly programmed On my '05 Jeep Liberty

I bought two key fobs from another seller and only one is fully programmed. No one would remotely lock or unlock a car or set off an alarm. The seller provided a replacement and it didn't fully program either (again, no remote lock/unlock/panic). At the risk I bought two more keys with USARemote keychains. Both are perfectly programmed into my jeep with the two good keys I have. All buttons work on new keys!

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Can't remember

Failed to program

Failed to program after paying Beaucoup $ for key making. The car starts but doesn't drive. So we lost the cost of the keys and $50 to cut the keys. To put it mildly, not very happy. UPDATE: Decided to try programming again after all this time, just in case. I am happy to tell you that I can now drive and start the car with the keys. I have reprogrammed according to the following instructions. I'm not sure if it was important or not. I hope this helps those who are having trouble programming…

They look great!: Interior

Ace Hardware told me they could cut and program my keys so I ordered them. They cut them out and tried to program them, but to no avail. It was free to cut the keys because they were my own keys so that was nice. I tried calling half a dozen lockers and about half said they could program them at different prices but a few of the lockers said that for some reason their systems couldn't program the keys for that particular car and suggested that I go to the dealer. I didn't want to spend money…

Cons

Obtaining key fobs is a very expensive undertaking. As long as you have two working fobs, you can quickly and easily program one (or two) more to have backups. I want to backup my keys and from time to time I lose my keys which means I have backup copies. They are extremely economical! The hardest part is finding someone to make the keys for you. When I first got them, Home Depot cut them out for free. Last time neither they nor Walmart did it and the actual key places offered me $60 to make…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

Disappointed so far: Remote Starter

Got two of these after temporarily losing one of the original two and deciding we needed a spare and the key price for two spares was attractive. Ace Hardware had a tough time carving these keys, but they admitted the problem was with their car, not the keys. They fit the lock and the ignition lock. Now they have to be programmed. I held the instructions on my iPad in front of me and followed them to the last letter on the first new key. The van responded with the expected flashes and beeps…

  • Very good price

  • Unbelievable price

I'm glad I bought it

I didn't have a key fob alarm for my car so it was difficult for me to open the doors especially as I have four kids and only one door in mine Minivan has a lock I had to open the back door and then get in the car to open all the other doors for the kids and then go back and put the car seat on the other side, this really frustrated me so I went to the dealer and asked them if they could program your key fob and they told me $275 i went to the locksmith and said could you get me a vibe and he…
