My old Kia Soul 2013 remote control buttons fell apart so I took a chance and ordered these. Luckily I watched a YouTube video on how to replace the case. You simply insert needle nose pliers (closed) into the gap on one side of the wrench and then the other side and force the pliers open. I use this cover on a 2011 Kia Soul+. For those wondering, tiny screws are included in the package to hold the keychain together. Some cheaper versions don't have this screw and will fall apart over time. It was easy to take my old key fob part and replace the electronic part.
