Pre-K and below game

This matching game is great for helping kids who aren't able to pair lowercase and capital letters, however using all the tiles at once takes a LONG time and is overwhelming. Adjusting the rules to the game, or simply using it as a draw a tile and name the letter was much more effective way to ensure my son knew he letters. You can then ask the child/student to write the letter on the back of the tile with a dry erase marker then wipe it off. There are lots of educational uses for these tiles…

Pros
  • Pretty sturdy.
Cons
  • These cards cannot be used to play a memory game in any way! They are actually small flashcards.

Useful but. on my review.

The overall game appears to be pretty good for early learners. The point being to match Capital Letters with little Letters. The only issue I had with this game is that the letters were all color coded. This made my son look for the matching colors vs. paying attention to the actual letters. This was fun the first few times of playing, but he and I both grew quite bored with it after a while. We ended up splitting the matches apart and doing alphabet chains/fill in the blank and other letter…

Pros
  • Learning & Education
Cons
  • There are no interactive or technological features, which might make learning letters feel monotonous

Good quality learning resource for kids

This pack of alphabet flashcards contains 26 cards of lowercase alphabets and 26 cards for capital letters. The cards are made of good quality cardboard and are sturdy enough to last for a while. The cards are color matched for lowercase and capital letters and that makes it easy to relate to the shape of the alphabets. Every set of alphabet cards is different from others making it ideal for teaching the kids.I would like to mention that letter "P" is missing in my pictures. It did come with…

Cons
  • Pronunciation assistance is not available, which might hinder children's ability to grasp phonetics

These are at the top of my props list for young kids

These cards with a backside that can be written on and then erased like a tiny whiteboard are perfect! I'm teaching ESL to young children online and introducing a new word during the class that the letter has been presented is a great way to extend their knowledge and help them along in their education. These are great because they have an animal listed and I can turn the tile over, spell out the animal's name, sound it out and the child has that extra change to connect a letter with a word…

Pros
  • Flash Cards
Cons
  • The cards could easily get entangled and messily stored if not maintained appropriately

Didn't Work Well For Us

I ordered these because I thought they'd be great letter practice for my 4 yr old while his brothers and sister are doing their schoolwork. When I first got them they didn't look like they could actually be written on. It was some time later when one of my kids wrote on one that I realized that they could actually be written on and wiped off. At that point some of the cards had been lost or destroyed. We did use these a couple times. My son liked having something "new" but it was difficult for…

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • The cards are double-sided, which can be confusing for children and make it difficult to focus on one letter at a time

Mostly great but one major flaw!

These are good quality, the little animal cartoons with each letter are cute. They are bright, clear, easy to read and match for the little ones. However I have one issue with this, for some people it might not be a problem but it is for me.The Montessori way is to teach children the sounds of the letters before what their names are. I do the same for my daughter. So its confusing for her why there's a giraffe with the letter "G". This is something she will learn later on, considering that this…

Pros
  • 7.4 ounces
Cons
  • The price point may be excessive, particularly given the potential quality concerns

Lots of ways to use these

This matching game can be used in so many ways! This would be perfect for assisting a child education while at home or for helping a child with speech.-Each square is either an upper or a lower case letter and the other side is a whiteboard.-You can lay them all out on the ground as a giant matching game with every letter of alphabet (match A with a) or break them up into smaller groups (only vowels, letter in mane etc).-You can also use these to practice writing! You can lay them out and when…

Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for tactile learners who benefit from engaging sensory materials

🤦‍♀️ Should've read the other reviews

I bought this thinking I could play a memory game with my 4 yr to help her memorize letters. I should've read the other reviews. My bad! It is sturdy but upper and lowercase letters are printed on opposite sides of each tile making no way to play a memory matching game. So if that is your intent then this won't work.

Pros
  • 3 years and up
Cons
  • The bright colours might distract instead of facilitating a learning experience for children with focusing issues

Not a matching memory game.

This is not a memory game. The capital letter is on one side and the lower case on the other. There is no way to play the matching memory game. So disappointed.

Pros
  • My grandson loved them
Cons
  • The size of the cards may not be big enough for children with vision problems to read easily

Waste or money don't bother

This is a waste of money. The large letters are on one side, the small on the other. There is no way to play memory or anything else.

Pros
  • Toys & Games
Cons
  • The small size of each letter might not be optimal for group use within classrooms

Great matching game

Great product for matching upper and lowercase letters. The letters are color coded to help identify which cards go together. The only hiccup is the letter "Q” cards are not colored the same. When teaching the lowercase p,q,d & b, that would have helped. It was just a misprint.

Pros
  • Spritegru
Cons
  • The packaging appears to be minimalistic and low-grade, which might offer few protective measures
