Unreliable Voltage Converter Ruined My Trip

As a result of my tests, I determined that this voltage converter could not handle the demands of my automotive tools. The pros are that it is compact and easy to store, but the cons are that it fails to protect my equipment and caused damage. Don't risk ruining your trip with this product.

Pros
  • Can convert voltage up to 3000 watts reliably
Cons
  • May not be suitable for certain appliances with higher wattage requirements

Stops working after a few weeks

I can no longer use the device. I don't know why, but after a few weeks my circuit breaks every time I turn it on. It is not possible to check whether the circuit breaker is defective. It delivers 3000W of power when my device (Thermomix TM5) draws a maximum of 1500W. Now I'm forced to buy another transformer as this one was unusable. And there is no way to contact the manufacturer.

Pros
  • The only universal 220 volt outlet that accepts plugs from most countries.
Cons
  • There are defects

Lots of power, lots of compatibility, lots of cheap

I haven't had a chance to try the downconvert, but the upconvert works fine. The 240v plug I used was a little loose in the socket, which I attribute to it being supposed to be internationally compliant, but not to an alarming degree. I wouldn't use a device like this for a permanent installation, but it's perfect for trying out a few things before my…

Pros
  • CE certified. Protection by double circuit breakers for each voltage (120V and 220V).
Cons
  • Something else
